Established in 2021, Mojo was created to help surfers stay in the water longer. When the popup slowed but the passion stayed strong, we engineered a smarter board to keep the stoke alive.

Surfing should always feel fun and effortless. We design technology that supports the ride — never replaces the connection to the wave.
We offer four pre-made models, and our lightweight power system can be installed in any 3-inch-thick blank, giving riders the freedom to choose from our library of custom shapes. Other applications include paddleboards, big-wave boards, rescue craft, and more — anywhere an extra boost keeps the stoke alive.

Miles Munson founded Mojo with one simple mission: to keep the stoke alive. A lifelong surfer with a passion for powered craft—ranging from personal watercraft to e-foils and surfboards—Miles combined years of experience to engineer a smarter, lighter, and more responsive powered surfboard. As a systems designer and board builder, he’s spent years testing Mojo boards in real surf, constantly refining performance through hands-on experimentation. and while his popup may have slowed down a bit over the years, his drive to innovate has only accelerated—proving that when the stoke is strong, there’s always another wave to catch.

Carrie Munson — CEO and undisputed household CFO — convened the board (a.k.a. dinner) and issued her verdict with trademark fiscal precision: “You may proceed with the project only under three conditions — one, you build a Gun; two, Laird Hamilton rides it; and three, I get to meet him.” With that, the deal was sealed, funds were released, and the big-wave board was officially approved — proving once again that behind every bold surf dream stands a woman with better negotiating skills and impeccable taste in surfers

Connor Munson brings an engineer’s precision and problem-solving mindset to Mojo. As a licensed Professional Engineer specializing in water management, he applies advanced CAD design, 3D printing, and systems modeling to help refine and optimize board performance. Beyond the technical work, Connor is also a test rider and drone pilot, combining hands-on experience in the water with engineering insight to support continual product improvement and innovation.

Tom is an airplane and glider pilot with extensive expertise in aircraft systems. His specialty is radio frequency (RF) and telemetry. He invented the “Cheap Beep,” a lightweight telemetry tracking system that attaches to a falcon’s leg. Falconers around the world use his system.

With 35 years in the surf industry, Tommy brings a lifetime of craftsmanship and creativity to every board he builds. Originally from Florida and now based in Oceanside, California, he’s known for turning ideas into reality — if you can dream it, Tommy can build it. His deep knowledge of surf products and meticulous attention to detail make him a perfect fit for Mojo. His custom artwork and graphics are the finishing touch that make each board truly one of a kind.
